One thing that did intrigue me about the F.8 was the flat plates attached to the trailing edge of the rudder (servo tabs?).

I have never noticed them before – is it an aerodynamic thing to energise the airflow or what??

Are they unique to the F.8 ???

Fascinating – as was the thick trailing edge on the Javelin’s ailerons…. I love all these small details…..
