Got it. I was automatically thinking Rotax…friends don’t let friends fly behind a Rotax, etc. Thanks for clarifying that.

As someone that once would never consider flying in a microlight but is now more than happy your comments about Rotax are just plain wrong. The old two stroke engines were not great but Airbourne Aviation at Popham have been using Rotax 911s on Eurostars and C42s for years and have engines that have completed 4000 hours and have had no significant engine problems with them. I would not only let friends fly behind a Rotax but I would encourage them to take their children too. They are a safe engine.

Remember that companies as well as individuals read these forii and disparaging comments about something should be backed up by fact and not supposition.
