He 111 H-4 Werke Nr 3294 Crashed at Newmans End 14th Sept 1940 (about two miles North of Matching) I investigated this in the early 1980’s, and recovered several parts including a Lotfe 7C bombsight that under some strange delusion of getting it back, I sent off to ‘someone reputable’ to look at. Needless to say I never saw that again:mad:
I suppose it could have come from any aircraft, not necessarily in this area.
