Yes, bottom of the hill opposite the presently closed village shop–what happened there? I now have to buy my milk in Shillington.
Pop in sometime and say hello. Go in the gate–turn right and I’m down the bottom. My little blue car will stand there if I’m open.
back to aviation. I often wonder in idle moments what the sky must have looked and sounded like in the 1920’s when there were two squadrons of Snipes at Henlow and the School of Parachuting with Vimys and later Virginias.

I will do that, thanks. And yes completely off track but the shop was sold to new owners and is being fitted out as we speak, I believe it is due to reopen sometime soon. It’s where is used to get my RAF News! As for RAF Henlow, yes, it would have spectacular back in the day, I visited their museum a few years back and there’s some great period photos and artefacts, a very interesting base with great history.

We get a few interesting types still in the skies overhead still, warbirds routing from/to Duxford and also some helicopters (Merlins/Chinooks/Apaches) at low level which is always fun!
