Yeah… our News Media are full of Sh!t.
Another favourite of theirs is if a sports team has won something three times in a row they like to call it a threepeat instead of what it really is which is of course a repeat…. P!sses me off what they do to the language… but they never get the pronounciation of Maori words wrong…

Books have always been quite expensive here in NZ… I pay $24-$30 for most of the computer mags I buy (though I usually buy the more expensive DVD issues cause they have more stuff on the disk which is mostly why I buy them…). Of course the Australian PC mags are $9-$12 dollars and often have similar content to the British and American Mags. Often they are better in that they include lots of LOTR and other local stuff, like interviews with people like Russell Crowe and Peter Jackson.
