RE: Binter Airlines crash

Media and local residents have been acting quite foolishly critizing the plane, just because it´s small and a propeler one. In any case, nothing wrong was proved on the CN235 despite the accidents in which it has been involved. In any case, guys no more CN235 flying on the Spanish skies. Binter Mediterraneo has been purchased by Iberia Franchise Air Nostrum (the main domestic regional operator. In fact the only one). It has been replaced by F50 and Dash-8. The reason of using this aircraft is due to the sort extention of Melilla airport. The ausence of navigational aids (lots of mountains around) and the weather of the area with frecuent sand storms (coming from the close desert) and foggy days. So sturdy planes were needed. The residents wanted jets. Paukanir had regular flights with Bae 146 until one crashed against a mountain on landing (on the Moroccon side) so the airline disappeared.
