Airports often use platitudes and exaggeration to bolster the ego of newcomers, and existing carriers realise this and take it for what it is (ie a large pinch of salt). I think the praise to Flybe for serving the IOM from LCY, NCL, BRS and BHD was fairly gushing too – so Flybe know what it’s all about.

LPL was the same – Ryanair served LPL-DUB for years and years then along comes Easyjet…
