RE: For dcfly and Hand…and anyone else whos interested.
Not to insult anyone, but I think the whole charvel/jackson thing is bunk. It started in the early 80s when Eddie Van Halen told everyone that the custom guitar he uses was built by charvel(The white & black striped one that appears on the first VH album which he later painted over red which resulted in the red, black and white guitar he was famous for). So ofcourse charvel goes from being an absure custom guitare shop to a world renown guitare maker, and jackson, their best guitar tech spins off is own label. But guess what, a while later after some research, its found out that charvel never made that guitare at all, and that it was just something made by some guy that charvel sold for him.
I personally believe that guitare makers are missing out big time on sustain by not using more solid materials for body and neck of guitars. Do you know why the les paul only has a thin layer of maple laminated to the surface of the body? Because the original les paul was solid maple, and this hard, dense wood made the guitare sustain TOO MUCH.
Kabir- I know of some guys whove had custom fretted necks with indian scaled microtones. You should take advantage of your rich musical heritage and bring something new and advanced to the rock world.
