And of course, if you want to learn more about the history of Suttons Farm and RAF Hornchurch, then a trip to the Purfleet Heritage Centre is a must!
Also, there is a very good DVD available about the history of Hornchurch that also covers the history of Suttons Farm. The dvd is titled “Fighter Station, The RAF Hornchurch Story”, priced at about £15.00 (I know Midland Counties stock it). Also there is the Hornchurch trilogy of books written by Richard Smith which gives a very good complete history of the airfield.

PS…Yep, I thought that Suttons Farm fell within the boundaries of what was to become RAF Hornchurch.
