tail codes

Yes you are right in your guesstimation about the lettering of the tail codes on the aircraft you highlighted.Since the start of 2010 41(R) put up the old codes in honour of 41 Sqn’s days during WW2 at Catterick.E-BR was the code of a spitfire Mk1 P9428 flown by Sqn/Ldr Hilary Hood.

As for the Typhoons of 3(F)Sqn I can only imagine they have adopted the codes in a similar way as 41(R) has.If anything is incorrect other than my spelling feel free to let me know otherwise.:confused::onfused::))
