Airbus and Lockheed Martin walk away from UK MOD New Medium Helicopter programme

In what is a major shake-up for the UK MOD’s New Medium Helicopter (NMH) programme, both Airbus and Lockheed Martin (LM) have decided to withdraw their respective bids from the competitive procurement process, leaving Leonardo as the sole bidder in the £1bn ($1.3bn) contest.

La Ministra de Defensa Nacional de Canadá, Anita Anand, anunció el 25 de julio que el país ha adquirido cuatro nuevos Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transports (MRTT) -junto con otros tres A330-200 usados- por un importe aproximado de 3.600 millones de dólares canadienses (2.700 millones de dólares estadounidenses), con el fin de recapitalizar sus capacidades de reabastecimiento en vuelo y permitir a la Real Fuerza Aérea Canadiense (RCAF) sustituir su vetusta flota de CC-150 Polaris.

Canada’s Minister of National Defence Anita Anand announced on July 25 that the nation has purchased four new Airbus A330 MRTTs – along with a further three used A330-200s – for approximately CA$3.6bn (US$2.7bn), as it moves to recapitalise its air-to-air refuelling capabilities and enable the Royal Canadian Air Force to replace its ageing CC-150 Polaris fleet
