Is it me or was the Mexican Biz on his second landing in the shot?
Lovely photos
I remember when they had a nice spotting place in the middle and you could walk down past the terminal and down to the heli hangars… Then they started to nibble it away until…
The fire services do practice fires in the field just below the runway there so it looks like it is coming off the tarmac but I would assume it isnt. That would be one hell of a bounce if it was.
I remember the days of the old spectators building.. The fencing made it hard to get a good picture of anything and the Air Foyle IL76 would block the view of landing planes but it was still nice to have somewhere to sit inside.. Then some random guy came along talking about his Easyjet plan which turned into what it is now today and the place idssapeared soon after. Crazy times he just used to walk past everyoen and say hi while ppl played pool in the spec building.
I have to say I prefer the crashgate though and in those days you would probably get as many movements in the day as you would in 1 hour now. Still better variation back then airline wise.. good times.. I feel wierd reminiscing like an old man when im only 26 ha. 😀

I noticed there were a few photos of CTF in Luton and Switzerland on t’internet. It’s a nice looking aircraft and my first MD-anything so I was pleased to get it and the Dornier. Got my first 328JET a few weeks ago, that was my first 328 prop.
Last time EL AL used 777s into Luton it was shown on the timetable downloadable from the airport website, but there’s timetables up to the end of June on there at the moment and no 777 mentioned.
Baaahstarrd, eh? And after I didn’t call you any names for getting that Saudi Herc! 🙂 As for Mexicans, I got this one back in December too:
So, just in case this was another Mexican you missed, :p
Oh I got my first DO328 jet the other week too.. the Sun Air?
Well ive been informed April 24th is a 777 the times look horrible. 0500 until 0810.. Hope atleast the time is wrong.
Ah that pesky herc has been in before Ive never seen a globex from Mexico! I actually saw that exact falcon .. I think i shot it landing but the sky was so white and i was kinda far away it made the image worthless. Since I do it for photography and not really for registrations it = fail because If its not good enough to upload to my flickr database i just delete it lol.
I was actually there when there was a mexican ERJ190 last month but it was on the pond and blocked by a tonne of stuff.. Its my mexicano LTN curse. I shall prevail eventually.

According to my searches on Google earlier, VP-CTF is owned by AMAC Aerospace, whoever they maybe.
Yuppers and she seems like a pretty regular visitor i snapped her a few times.
Registered in the Cayman islands but owned by a Swiss Aviation Engineering, Charter, consultancy blah blah etc etc Company. They have a large hanger in Basle.
Now onto me calling you a “baaahstarrd” politely for that Mexican global!!! **** damn. 😡 anytime a mexican comes in im nowhere around. G-BWIR I woulda liked to photo, I remember it operating out of there regularly with suckling when i was iddy biddy and lacked camera skills.
Well done anyway man some nice views.. Im still trying to find the specific dates for the ELAL 777!
