Dear friends, colleagues, family and community.
This is Bill Boyne.
Today I regretfully and sadly announce That Col. Walter James Boyne has flown his last mission
and passed at 3:10 Jan 9, 2020 today in Silver Spring MD.
It is with a heavy heart that I speak to you today.
Dad is to be interned at Arlington Cemetery, date unknown at this time.
He lived to the grand age of 90.

He was a good man. I met him years ago when he showed me around the National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC about a month before it opened. Then to top it the following day he took me to the Reserve Facility at Silver Hill, Maryland, which to me was like seeing the Holy Grail.
