We will be there with Rapide G-AIDL (pleasure flights) and the Percival Prentice (static).. for more details see:

As usual, the flights offer a scenic view of the Severn Valley, even the occasional steam train passing below!
Do call in at the Classic Flight trailer and say hello 🙂

Just had the lovely sight and sound of the Rapide o/h Stourbridge on its way into the event. A splendid way to start a Sunday morning ! 😎

Anyone who will be flying in the area, bloody good lookout is the order of the day. It gets very busy along that section of the river severn. RAF Cosford likley to be very active with anything up to 10 A/C around and about the local area.

Ah, thanks for clarifying that Balliol. That would be the the one that the Frenchman was flying in the film, which landed over the top of haystack with a couple misbeaving themselves in then?:) Haven’t been to Halfpenny Green since they staged the Kings Cup Air Race there in 1967.
Yes,thats the one, flown by Monsieur duBois.I believe that Jean-Pierre Cassals was chosen for the part because he was one of the few actors small enough to get in it and it was actually flown by the late Joan Hughes because she was one of the few suitably experienced pilots light enough for it to become airborne reasonably safely.

The Demoiselle replica has been borrowed from RAFM Stafford.
Also if anyone has any connection with or fond memories the old Wolverhampton airport at Pendeford you may find a few familiar faces at the event.————Balliol.

Thanks Will, this looks very interesting but is the first I have heard of it?
Their website states ” aircraft from those Magnificent Men in the Flying Machines”….which ones, as I can’t see the Shuttleworth collection allowing their Boxkite and Triplane to fly all the way there from Old Warden?
