Hans-yes those cards were available at SXF in the terminal shop long after the demise of IF, luckily I have friends in Germany who still seem to be finding them at German “flea markets” and passing them on to me.

Tell me about it 😉 They are also readily available at Aviation Center Berlin and Der Fliegerladen at Tempelhof. Der Fliegerladen also has some other IF memorabilia, like luggage tags, maps and even old issues of Bordjournal. Speaking about that, today I got a package from a friend with lots of old brochures from 1989-1990 – including a 1990 Interflug timetable, a postcard pack and a Bordjournal (the one with the model A310 on the cover). Super! 😀

Many thanks for the replies! WD-the the aircraft on the left is an IL62M whereas the other one is a standard and older IL62, the easiest way to tell the two apart is the engine nacelles…the 62M has different engines and “bucket type” thrust reversers, the 62 has older design “cascade types”. Apologies to all who may already know this. Airline owner-your German is better than mine!

Yes, that’s all very well.

But do you get a hot in-flight meal?
