Some of you might have seen the ‘109 work in progress photo I put in the ‘And now for something completely different’ thread…

Well it’s now finished! Apparently it’s a really cheap kit, I wouldn’t know as mine was a freebie 😀 but it is a really simple, nice build and mine’s turned out quite nicely. I like it anyway…

The first plastic kit I’ve done that involves Philips screws 😮

No, the three of them are all OOB jobs!

I hope you’re doing it the easy way, not the way that involves the remains of 3 different kits!

Nice! I’m doing one of those myself.

Nice! I’ve seen that Beaufighter before – are you on the Airfix builders group on Facebook, perchance??
Guilty!
Charlie, good luck, let me know how you get on. I’ll take a pic of the Beau with something to give an idea of scale. Should’ve thought of that…!

The Beaufighter is a fine build!! Nothing to give us a sense of scale, though, since you make the point about its size. And thanks for the earlier tip – I missed it. I have some blades to attach at the weekend, so will put your advice to good use.:)

The smallest amount of glue you can get away with, and very steady hands Charlie! I dot the broken end of the blade onto the bubble which forms in the nozzle of the glue if you just squeeze it a tiny bit. If the prop has lost all it’s blades re-fit one and let it dry thoroughly. You can then use that one as a master to get the right angles for fitting the rest 🙂

That’s what I call a restoration!;) Modelling tip please – the best way to securely attach props, which have broken off, to spinners.

Glad you like Charlie! The Heron is Airfix and way out of production, but can be found on thiefbay. There is a Dove/Devon kit too, but it’s quite scarce. Shame, I’d love one because I think our Devon’s a pretty little thing.

Just caught up with all your splendid builds, Blue – you have been busy!:applause: The Dove and Heron were a very pretty de Havilland pair weren’t they? I must look out for a kit of each.

I’ve not built a ‘110 in ages. Might need to do one soon!

Indeed! 😉 Mine shall hopefully emerge as D-FEHD when filming Piece of Cake.

It is indeed an Airfix, I can’t find a date on it thought.
