Recently been given a few books. Amongst them is a 1941 edition of “Aero Engines for pilots and ground engineers” by O.Cauldwell (pub Pitman) – a small book of 112 pages.
Inside the cover are written a sort of diary come career details of AC2 Connell.
I have attempted a transcript of what is written which should be attached with scans of the two relevant pages and the title page of the book in case it’s of any interest to anyone.
I guess the chance that Mr. Connell is still with us is slim but if he is and wanted it back would be pleased to pass it on. Or if I can find any of his descendants and they are sufficiently interested to keep it…
Alternatively I’ll offer it to an institution – I’m presuming it’s not of sufficient importance/interest for the RAFM but maybe the Essex C.R.O.?
