15th December…

12 months ago the sight of a Harrier in British skies was seen for the last time, to celebrate this anniversary my wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy this morning. Sadly she turned down my suggestion to name him Hawker Siddley, but both are fine.

A fully fitted out Harrier cockpit comes close though!
Congratulations on your news Chris.

I think if you stuck the rest of the airframe back on then the Harrier would probably win every time!:diablo:

Thanks again for all the best wishes.

Well done! I’ve got three of them (offspring, not Harriers), not one of whom has the slightest interest in aviation. Let’s hope your parenting skills in that area turn out to be better than mine:D

Congrats old Boy! Your fish can swim! Not until he leaves the house as a teenager will you get a full night’s sleep again!

How about John (Fozard, Farley)?

Is it just me (well, Google) but there don’t seem to be any Noahs in the aviation world.

Yet, there’s time for that to change now as he’s going to have a proper upbringing like his older sister, she went to her first flying legends at 6 weeks old. Might have to drag him down to brunty this weekend and get him blooded!

Sadly she turned down my suggestion to name him Hawker Siddley, but both are fine.

Was out on the flight line one day at DX & a couple of the other guys walk up with a senior looking gentleman in tow & introduced him as “Harry Hawker”. I guess my expression must have looked somewhat incredulous as the next comment was “Not THAT Harry Hawker” which was just as well as he’d been dead for about 70 years by that point ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

inkworm, Congratulations on your new addition, however, naming him Noah, do you know something that we don’t?.;)

Jim.
