From today’s Sun (a small snippet, hidden away, and not quoted). On 28th August, up to 16 Battle of Britain pilots will fly together on a chatered airliner from Heathrow over the skies of England. This will be a media event, and as of this evening seats were still available to the general public.
Tickets are £475 each, and sales are reported to have been good. Contact Bill Bond, at the Battle of Britain Historical Society (Google it) if you’re interested. Any profits (if there are any) will go to that organisation. My 50th birthday present has arrived earyl; I have to go – and I’m taking my Stepdad, to whom I owe so much, and who is at enthusiastic as I am, as a surprise.
