1932 Graf Zeppelin visits Rotterdam – Waalhaven Airport, Netherlands (Video)

On 18 June 1932 the Graf Zeppelin visited the Rotterdam airport Waalhaven during a promotional tour. On board Prince Henry the husband of Queen Wilhelmina. They saw a great future for the Zeppelin, an enormous gas-filled and controllable balloon to travel quickly and comfortably over long distances with almost as much luxury as an ocean liner. The beginning of a new era! That is why this landing became the biggest aviation event (more than 100.000 visitors) ever to take place in Rotterdam.
