I really enjoy the excellent series of videos posted by Trecanair on Youtube. The latest is a wonderful colour film of the 1936 Lympne International Air Rally which features several rare aircraft including Caudrons, Monospar and the DH Technical School TK.2 –

It flew quite regularly in the UK – at Brooklands, Shoreham, Hendon and Lympne – in 1936, before its Belgian registration (OO-ELA) was cancelled and it became G-AETA. Later that year it became part of the Nash Collection and, as far as I can see, it never flew again (for a detailed history see https://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/documents/collections/72-AF-1620-Caudron-G.III.pdf).

Oh right, thanks. I was amazed to see it was still airborne in 1936.

If you are referring to the G.III, I believe it is the example now on display in the RAF Museum at Hendon.

What became of the airworthy Caudron?

Agreed this is an excellent YouTube channel and the content is superb- no-one else seems to cover the U.K. golden age of aviation and Nick does a great job
