This group of USAF bombers comes with very little detail. If any USAF experts can add anything, I would be grateful.
Photos as usual by the late Gerald Lawrance, digitised and made available by Tony Clarke. Dates and locations are unknown except where captioned.
44-84120 is a Boeing KB-29P, believed from 420th ARS at Sculthorpe:
44-87632 is a B-29 which may be connected to the 582nd ARG at Molesworth. This was a Special Ops unit which used B-29s, HU-16s and C-119s to drop forces behind enemy lines.
48-0125 is a KB-50J of 420th ARS:
47-0120 ditto:
3 views of 48-0118 KB-50J, 420th ARS again:
The next three speak for themselves:
47-0082 is a North American B-45 Tornado. The unit badge looks like 47th BG:
The following are mostly believed to be RB-66B from 10th TRW, USAF:
53-0453 at Coltishall BoB September 1965:
54-0438 at Coltishall BoB September 1964:
53-0504:
54-0551:
54-0543:
54-0549:
54-0538 at Coltishall BoB 16-9-61:
59-2440 Convair B-58A Hustler of 43rd BW at Mildenhall 17-5-69. Probably the last to visit the UK, it was withdrawn to Davis-Monthan the next January:
61-0027 B-52H, 17th BW also Mildenhall 17-5-69 served for another 40 years before ending up at AMARC in 2009 ( That would be equivalent to a Sopwith Camel fighting in the Vietnam war.. )

Do you have a complete shot of the C-124 next to the B-47 in the last photo?
Love the old Globemasters!

Thanks for updates. For some reason the edit function won’t work on this post, so I can’t amend captions.

Yet more great pictures. Keep up the good work 😀
Your Douglas Destroyers (B-66) are a mix…
40438 40543 and 4538 are indeed 10 TRW RB-66B’s
30504 4551 40459 are 47BW B-66B’s
30543 is another RB-66B but cannot see any unit markings…

Paul

“That would be equivalent to a Sopwith Camel fighting in the Vietnam war..”
How true. And things of beauty. Love the B29 flying shots.
Thank you very much for these (you’ve unleashed a wonderful archive over the past few weeks).
Loving the Hustler too.
