My retired clock repairer has just returned to me a pile of old clocks that he says his failing eyesight means he cannot fix.
So I wanted to check whether they were of any use for panel or cockpit projects ?
Most are 1950’s
I have three A11 – RAF MkIVB
Bulova – Stores Ref 6A/2958 1745/51
Elgin – Stores Ref 6A/2958 4654/51
Longines/Jaeger Stores Ref 6A/2958 1217/57 (Interestingly aslo stamped on the face withUSAAF Type A11
Elgin Pioneer RAF Mk4
Smiths 5ACA Ref 446/54 and another case and dial only 510/50
Smiths Mk5 Stores Ref 6A/6645 – 99- 1043704 413/64
And a Waltham CDIA.
All 8 day clocks but not working – but in good aesthetic condition for display.
Happy to exchange for surplus parts and can be picked up at Cockpitfest.

The two 5ACA and the Mk4s all went to an unknown chap at Newark last weekend who wants to try and restore them. Sorry I have no contact details.

Francois – thank you for the note.
All the clocks shown above have new homes – sorry!
I have more or less given up on Smiths clocks – There are few restorers left who will tough them – the unavailability of parts and the divide bwteen watch restorers and clock restorers – neither of whom want to have anything to do with Aircraft Clocks.
The restorers who are interested restrict themselves to the higher value clocks such as Jaeger Le Couture, CDIA and the Hamilton Elgin 37500. There are a couple in US who restore these and sell them on ebay.
The 5ACA – I got the near working one from Sweden. There were a few for sale in Uk about 4 years ago -so there are some around – just a matter of patience..
Sorry I cannot be of further help.
