Hmm…..bland imho, could have done with a splash of blue i think!

That realy is a bit of a poor show.
One has come to expect that Virgin would have some flare, some charisma with their liveries. Atlantic and Blue are fabulous schemes, but their latest leave a lot to be desired. Both Nigeria and US are cheap and nasty.
All down to budgets I guess ? These offshoot airlines are just using the Virgin name under a franchise arrangement I’d have thought ? As much as they’d love a lavish livery, I think the accountants would rarther they kept overheads to a minimum ?

It looks like they picked the safe (but boring) option. It’s bit of a let down really.

Here it is from a better view in flight. Nothing special at all, very dull.

Looks to me like its had a little accident on the tarmac.

man it looks like virgin from the 90s lol they should do it up like a virgin blue 737

I thought I was the only one thinking that! Does seem very odd…

Looks pretty dull to me, but that aside, is it just me or is that photo amazingly poor quality for an A.net shot?

Ive seen better liveries but ive also seen worse 😀

And also maybe adding the US flag on the engines, similar to what VS do with the uk flag on their winglets

I concur.
After Seeing the mainline fleet and Virgin Blue decked out in eye catching liveries, the recent Nigeria scheme and this one are sadly lacking in the imagination department.
Sure, they have to maintain the “Virgin” brand. But they could be a little more imaginative in their liveries.
A Silver fuselage along with the tail as we see above would be far better for Virgin America. Perhaps a blue and white outline to the tail colours too.

Very Boring scheme, quiet disappointed with the Virgin Group i though Richard had a little more of a creative mind than that 😛
By: Bmused55 - 6th May 2006 at 13:02
Very unimaginative.

I don’t understand how anybody can like the Virgin Blue scheme. To me it looks like an accident in a paint factory.
By: CWBalmer - 5th May 2006 at 22:47
Nope – doesn’t do anything for me – the same goes for the Nigeria scheme…. I love the V Atlantic and VB/PB schemes tho.. – they are really good….

It’s alrigfht, but could be better. Reminds me of Cola.

Do like it, not sure but there’s just something about it 😀 .
What’s on the wing fences ?
Look’s like the stars and stripes to me, nice touch if so 😎 .
By: Ren Frew - 4th May 2006 at 23:15
I agree. Could have put a touch of american into it!(apart from the obvious!) :p

I like it as it harks back to the last Atlantic scheme…which I preferred. Interesting though as I thought the whole american thing was on ice for a while.

I was expecting the standard Virgin (Atlantic, Nigeria, Express and Blue) tail but with the edge in Blue. I agree with LBARULES though.
I don’t feel I can get a real feel for the livery in that shot, would imagine it might look better in another shot or in the flesh.
