2 old rare Photos – S6 1929 AWA G-AOZZ

Old aviation images turn up mixed up in all sorts of photo collections
These are the 3 best I found this past few days :
AW Argosy G-AOZZ closest the camera , must be at LHR sometime 1962-64 before BEA upgraded their runway ´´buses ´´

1929 Supermarine S6 N247 Schneider Trophy race winner which was destroyed in a crash on 18th August 1931.

They are not roundels under the wing, but the racing number ‘2’.

Love these, thanks for posting. The “ghosting” effect of the people and the long exposure in the S6 picture is quite atmospheric!
