2 or 3 from my back yard, what happens over yours?

Slightly higher than 5 meters and with no contrails, but sometimes there are some smaller ones…..

and there are the occasional bigger ones.

This little bird not leaving a contrail, altitude maybe 5 metres, but going through some more shots from yesterday (and deleting most) was intrigued to see the wings forming almost a crinoline in the hover. The dedication of these starlings has earned my admiration, and like pistonrob, I generally only see the high altitude flights on a north westerly heading. No more feathered friends however, promise.:o

I just get the boring modern odds & ends….. very little small stuff…

Very true, but then I live near Lincoln and I know locals who have never been in the cathedral, not because they don’t appreciate it, it’s just always ‘there’.

Red Arrows, Bof B stuff quite regularly, various stuff from Waddo. Sky’s always got something buzzing overhead. (E3 doing ccts as I type) You can sit in my garden and watch the Arrows putting pretty smoke trails in the sky. TBH much as I admire the Reds you get a bit blase when they’re on your doorstep.

tis funny how that happens but you can take things for granted sometimes and then all of a sudden they are gone. make the most of it while you can.. there are many im sure that would be jealous of your view.

Not the type of wings I normally photograph, but of the feathered type as per your buzzard? This one over my back yard yesterday…not sure if it’s mum or dad but both are working all daylight hours to feed the two chicks…

Until I buy my helicopter our 5 acre back pasture is empty…except for some friendly horses owned by a neighbor.
However, we frequently have Hawks looking for prey and at night we hear a Great Horned Owl. And deer, lots of deer.

But since most of the neat animals come at night, I don’t have photos.
