As my last thread was a bit mis-explained by myself, I try again.
How many two-seat versions of what are normally single-seaters are preserved as cockpit sections in the UK?
E.G.; Lightning, Hunter, Jaguar, Harrier,
I’ve always liked the look of some of these more then the original single seat versions 🙂

I must admit that I thought that the same proportion of two stick versions survive in cockpit form as their single seat stablemates, but that dosen’t always seem the case.
There are a few Vampire T.11s. A bit thinner on the ground, there’s XM692’s Gnat of course, a handful of Meteors T & NFs, a couple of Lightning T.5s,
and this lovely Sea Venom!

Harrier’s…. T.2 XW264 in store on a farm in Gloucestershire, plus T.4 XW265 with Leuchars ATC unit
Hunter’s…. XF321 plus an ex-Omani (?) example in Devon. XL564 and XL609 on the Isle of Wight, and N-302 at Aeroventure
What about Meteors also ? That might take a while. 😀
