2 Shorts 360s collide over Milwaukee

2 Shorts 260s from the US Cargo airline Air Cargo Carriers collided in mid air whilst on a photo shoot. One made a forced landing and the 3 crew survived, the other broke up and all 3 crew died 🙁

If fact, come to think of it, they’re not Short 260s either! :dev2: 😉 😀

LOL yeah just noticed that as well. I tend to always call them “Shorts” as thats how they, and in particular the Belfast factory are referred to in Belfast. Clearly not correct for the aircraft type, but just what I’m used to saying for the company name.

a very unfortunate incident. a shame that not everyone survived. i bet the surviving crew feel terrible, especially if they knew, as i’m presuming they did, they other crew.

Yes, seemingly they all knew each other, a hard one to swallow for the survivors.

And Andy… just a thought, given that former McDonnell Douglas products are technically Boeing’s now, does that make the Short Brothers 360 a Bombardier 360 ?

Very sad.

BTW, they’re SHORT 360s, not SHORTS 360s… One Short 360, two Short 360s. You don’t say Boeings 737, do you…?
