Stewart,
Congrats on finishing your time and having enjoyed it. It is good that you have been able to get your hands dirty, have fun and get to work on some interesting aeroplanes. I know we all take the mickey out of you but that is just life. We do it to each other too! but this is genuine.
Well done Kid.
Now, go and get some qualifications and become a real engineer. Not one of the namby-pamby’s who only ever unscrew one unit and replace it with another, but a real one that can use tools and actually make things. The world and the country need more of them. Remember you can do anything you like in life if you put the work in and listen to what you are being told. That is the hard part and I bet you there are no more than about one or two people on this whole forum that can actually do that (me included).
Take some time to think about what you have learned, not just the nuts and bolts (and the paint stripping and the cold and the bruised fingers) but the ins and outs of working with other people (I gave that up years ago) and getting a task done before you take on another.
Well done again.
At this point I will publicly announce that I am ceasing being nice to you (bad for my image)
Stupid boy Pike. . . .
