EAL_KING is an obnoxious arrogant individual who caused many problems both on and off the fora. He sent hateful e-mails and got into messenger conversations where he was abusive, made diatribes full of foul and vile invective and also questioned people’s sexuality and insulted certain members families. He also made numerous threats of physical violence.

Am I sad to see him go? Not at all. He is a perfect example of all that is wrong with society today. This board is pretty much back on form. It does not need people like him.

Here here, he was so arrogant he even bragged about doing this at school when he should have been in lessons…because he said he was bored! If you try to read some of his posts, you will see he should have attended more English lessons! We have a lot more mature and intelligent posters that contribute, so he is no loss.

On the topic of the “Trip Report Forum”; I am going to hold my hands up and say I never visit that forum, nor any of the other Key Publishing forums.

I used to be the same until commercial aviation was split into three categories; trip reports, commercial aviation and flight simulation.

But as for whether or not a reply is important – I think is. It certainly makes the author of a review feel good about what they have written. A report without any replies is going to make the author feel as if he/she has wasted their time and will more than likely deter them from writing more.

When I did my trip report I was thinking should I be doing this as I thought no one would reply but I thought wrong! If you just give a hint to someone that you have done a trip report then theyll look and there you go!!!!!

Yep, I have also known instinces of him been particularly rude to a very well respected member of this forum.

It it really that important to get a reply to a trip report?! Or to any post that is not soliciting an opinion?!

Views, I agree -if a post is not getting it’s due views because it’s been tucked away, maybe it needs to be re-catagorized. But if a post has been worded such that the most someone can do is read it, should we begrudge them for not replying with a “that’s nice…”?!

but i totally agree with you. The trip report forum doesn’t get the attention it deserves. There are a number of excellent reports there, well they are all good, but there is only a few replies to them and that is dissapointing. They take quite a bit of time to do, thats why i havent had time to do my Swiss one, cos of work etc, so when nobody replies to your’s, you do feel that u have wasted your time on nothing.
Shall we review the future of the Trip Reports Forum? And get um back on the “main” forum or what? :confused:

To be fair, I don’t think that “Trip Report” forum gets the attention it deserves. Few people seem to take a look from time to time. Many of the reports on there get very few views, let alone replies.

However, I did express a lot of interest in one of your bmi reports! Excellent reading! 🙂

This is probably the best post Chris has writen.
I will admit I wasnt his best fan on here and I agree with most the others posting that his first contributions were like a 10 year old had sent a text message, and then lastly all he seemed to do was copy and paste from other sites.
Some will miss you, but not me

Have to agree with Kabir, what’s with the big announcement, if you want to go then go, don’t make such a song and dance about it or are you wanting/expecting us to ask you to stay.

Your photos are great and enjoyed by all of us and we’re not asking you to leave so just enjoy the forum and take it easy.
