20mm Cannon Help

I’m trying to identify what type of aircraft this 20 mm canon would have been fitted to.
I was originally told it came from a Mosquito but that now seems doubtful due to the type of spring.
One of the attached photo’s shows a comparison between a Mossie canon (bottom) and a type fitted to the likes of a Spitfire. The spring on the mossie can be seen to be different.
However the front ‘collar’ on mine seems similar
I have tried to find a parts number on the attached wreckage and have come up with the one in the photos. Not the best of pics I know.
Can anyone confirm if this is the type of Cannon was fitted to Mosquito (NF version) or if not to which type of aircraft it may have been fitted to ?
