A Canadair RJ that was bringing back the Notre Dame basketball team from Providence RI actually landed at Elkhart Municipal Airport instead of South Bend Regional Airport around 0130 on Wednesday. The two airports are about 12 miles apart. Towers for both airports were closed at the time.

1. The Pax – err… ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speeking, due to an unexpected situation we are now in Brussles indtead of Frankfurt, we are just discussiong or options before we err.. decided what to do next,
2. – Operations – yea we went to the worng place
3. The bank manager – yep that 400+ pax landing fees for EBBR and EDDF! lol

or the (I think NW) Northwest 747 that landed at Brussels instead of Frankfurt. (And everyone in the cabin knew they were in the wrong place too, thanks to the IFE Maps. Apparently, the flight crew were the only people who thought they were in Frankfurt.)

or the PAN AM B707 which landed at Northolt instead of LHR!

Reminds me of a Saudi B747 which landed at an IAF AFB instead of Chennai airport.
