Does anyone know whether there is – or has been – a 277 Squadron RAF Association or some form of contact with its members (if any are extant today)? An internet search draws a blank.

Here are a few close-ups. The difficulty is – as with so many autographs – trying to decipher the signatures in order to obtain a name against which to search. But I won’t be critical as my signature is so minimalist – borne of having to sign too many documents during my working days – that I doubt that anyone would be able to decipher it!

Thank you, both, for the efforts that you’ve made to research the topic and for the information supplied in consequence. I am most grateful. I’ll take a look at the ASRMCS website later today.
No, my request has absolutely nothing to do with Spitfires! It relates to something which came from my late mother-in-law, who was in the WAAF and stationed at RAF Truleigh Hill (a radar station) on the South Downs to the north of Shoreham, where 277 Squadron RAF was based for a period of time during WWII. It appears to be a large piece of parachute silk which was signed by various pilots – who, I presume, served with 277 Squadron RAF when at Shoreham – and their signatures were then embroidered over in silk thread and the squadron crest was embroidered on the piece of silk. I had in mind to try to identify the signatures and then see what information I could find concerning those pilots. It seemed to me that if there is a 277 Squadron Association, that would be the logical place to start.
