294 Squadrfon Air Sea Rescue North Africa WW2

Hello,

I am doing research on the above subject matter and the time my father Robert Gordon Mills from Nova Scotia Canada who joined R.C.A.F. March 14/41 and upon completion of his tanning and being sent overseas then on loan to R.A.F at the rank of T/Sgt, trade WOAG ll, 14/3/41, C/R88228, J86352. Was originally with Coastal Command then on to Air Sea Rescue 24/9/43 North Africa thru remainder of the War with R.A.F. There does not seem to be to much info on 294 Squadron that I have come across on the Internet and at best sporadic. I have been able to obtain his service records here for the R.C.A.F. and National Archives Uk re his service R.A.F.. During his time flying the Walrus and Vickers Wellington 1C, V, X1, X11 and X were the Bombers he flew in and Piloted. Upon completion of his service his rank was that of a Pilot Officer at the end of the War. Anyone who may have knowledge of or any bit of info no matter how small about my father or the men of 294 Squadron who may have known him would be greatly appreciated. Also I am trying to confirm any of his planes, aircraft type and there numbers.
