The second Me262 Project jet has flown 3/4 of the FAA certification program as of Saturday and has had several gear up flights- without any problems. With just a few test flights to go, Me262 Tango Tango is nearing shipment to the new owner in Germany. Here are a few photos of the jet prior to test flight number 4 along with the first gear up photo pass. Chase plane is Bud Granley in his Fouga Magister. http://www.warbirdrecovery.com for more news as it happens. Check your six, a legend is about to head to Europe!

Wow great idea, are there any plans for building replicas of other types of aircraft after the Me 262’s? I’m sure a few Spits or Hurricanes would go down well, especially early marks.

Tango Tango is actually a “convertible” version. It is a two-seater that can convert to a single seat version in about 3-4 hours. Nice!

Don’t forget that we are restoring two Bf-109s to flying condition also. One is for sale or trade… Would make a great addition with a Me262 acquisition…www.airassets.com is our site for aircraft sales.

There are some interested buyers in one of the three remaining 262s who have indicated that they MAY bring one to the UK for a tour. Interest from the forum to see such a tour would help our cause in convincing a buyer to commit to a UK tour- or make a permanent home there. Any support (demand) for a Me262 to come to the UK is appreciated and WILL go to our interested buyers. How about a “Virgin” sponsored tour???

Excellent Gordon, congrats on a (not unexpected) trouble free test flight schedule.
The first 3/4 view photo is stunning.
