Nothing like seeing black cabs in London, the only time I have seen these A/C is escorting into Stansted or the Queens flypast, so to have 3 circling near Chelmsford City is way out of the ordinary.
Yes I know not historics but if i asked elsewhere in the forum I doubt I would get any replies, now off to find some stinging nettles

Um…Typhoons? Are we talking about the ‘meh’ Eurofighter which would be like asking if anyone saw those black cabs in London; or did something momentous happen?

“Historic” that is…

People are so entranced with their smart phones that they don’t pay much attention to the real world, or what is going on around them ( or overhead) .

I must be the only person that noticed them, why is that?

….The truth is out there.

I think they were/are down there for some sort of flypast

Couldn’t they just walk to W H Smith?

(Subscribing is even better)

For the Saudi Crown Prince and his delegation at Northolt, as they have signed a memorandum of understanding to buy another 48 Typhoons.

There’s 3 from Coningsby going into Northolt apparently

What……wow…….how long for, why……!?!?!?

Still remember the Olympic Games detachment and their QRA exercises…………bloody marvellous having the windows rattled by a Typhoon on reheat streaking over my house at low level, and seeing the hysterics of some of the neighbours 😎

There was once a rumour that a simulator in Coningsby was reprogrammed to do something like that and suggested that it had a fair chance against a Tornado. I could never substantiate that though.

Maybe we should start thinking about putting Sidewinders on Spitfires

Maybe historic is a bit of a stretch, but I would say momentous.

Wow, three RAF fast jets in the air at the same time, you don’t see that very often these days.

Our Air Farce operate just two fast jets types now, and of the Tornados, a meagre 28 (yes! ) remain in service.

Spitfires are now the second most numerous fighter aircraft in the UK. We have a great future behind us………

Wow the Hawker Typhoon project has come on leaps and bounds, last time I looked they were still working on getting one airworthy. that’s extraordinary.
