Well this is the 1st chance i’ve had to post my pics of yesturday’s trip to LCY.
Not gonna do a report but VLM were a great airline, the Fokker was a quieter aircraft than i thought, we had terrible turbulence all the way, 5.5 glideslope was interesting, had a nice deck visit, did a good hour of spotting (with a few go-arounds too) and went home 1st class on a Virgin Pendolino…bliss!

Great pics, I have used this service quite a few times, and its pretty good. However having flown on Flybe’s Dash 8, I now prefer that aircraft.

Interesting that the seats aren’t leather on that aircraft. The VLM website makes quite a big deal out of the ‘all leather seating’.
Not all aircraft in the fleet have all-leather. In 2002 I remember OO-VLQ didn’t have leather, and neither did OO-VLS in 2003. When I flew on OO-VLV in 2003 that had leather and that was nice.
Great report by the way, I adore VLM, they are a fantastic airline and the Fokker 50 is a superb little aircraft. London City airport has the best approach in the UK, you can’t beat that nosedive down!

it is no worse then say Luton (which is actually been voted in the top five as one of the worst towns in the UK)

Was quite suprised to have to “step” up to the flight deck, thats the 1st time i’ve done that in a commercial airliner lol!

Joking aside, Liverpool is a nice airport.
Its changed dramatically since i was there last 14 months ago. There are new shops, new arrivals system, and most importantly, more Gates! I like LPL a lot, city aint bad either, plenty of those dreaded chavs tho lol
