360 degrees WVR missile

Has there ever been studies done on missile to achieve 360 degrees LOBL? Like for instance 2 seekers each capable of 90 degrees of boresight angle. The 2 seekers would be mounted on the side of the missile at the front looking each one at one hemisphere.

I imagine that kind of idea has probably been studied, and I would guess it is impossible, but why?
