The fifth and (for now) final part of this series. After this I won’t pester you folks anymore with these oddballs for awhile 😀
The following images were made almost a year ago for John Baxter’s latest book, The Alternate Luftwaffe, Volume II. More info about John Baxter’s books can be found here: http://www.luft46.com/jbbooks.html
The images depict the Messerschmitt Me P 1070 jet fighter, a forerunner of the famous Me 262, which was never built. I saw the Me P 1070 for the first time in volume 1 of Classic’s Me 262 books and just knew I had to build one in 3D, as I think it’s a very elegant machine! 😀

And in black&white:

Profiles…

In John Baxter’s book it’s become the fictional Me 260 A-1/R1 of the Romanian air force, battling Soviet bombers over Ploeisti.

Thanks for looking 🙂

Thanks very much guys! Glad you like it 🙂
Now it’s back with me to more normal subjects… Corsairs, Mustangs and Ju 88s on the menu, with a superdetailed Fw 190 A-8 later this year…

Staggering – as always. Nice looking beast, (the P1070, not Ronnie), can’t say I’ve ever heard of it.
