With some luck, DC-4 ZS-AUA, will arrive tommorow at North Weald. ETA unknown, but it is pre flighted for for the flight today at AMS. This is the former PH-DDS. Its livery is unknown, might be USAF, might be DDA, might be something else. BW Roger

RE: 3rd DC-4 inbound for North Weald
Below is a message regarding the 3rd DC4 taken from Vintage and Warbirds:
Just an update on DC-4-1009 ZS-AUA, ex PH-DDS of the Dutch Dakota
Association. Yes,
Michael J. Ward certainly wasn’t as “ignorant” as he often states to be, it
was indeed GERMANY and not North Weald where this Douglas flew to today….

Don’t know about anybody else but I was a little alarmed to read in the current Flypast about the DC4’s that they had been acquired by Aces High. I do hope they find new owners soon after filming is complete.

No sign of it today, although the weather was rubbish, so it could have been delayed somewhere. Only two movements all day, a Buldog to DX and back and a visiting C172 from Biggin.
