On my way to work 7.15ish there was a 4 prop engined Russian? airliner about the size of a Douglas DC4 but with the glass of the flight deck extending further down the nose like the Russians do. It was gone tonight when I returned.
Did anyone else see it?
Sorry no Number, No Photo, No time.
I have had a quick look on BIA site but no help.
Any clues as to why it had dropped in?

Lukeylad is correct Hurn does have quite a variety of aircraft in.
The AN12 was parked on the north south runway being attended to.
I think the refueling bowser was there but cant be certain. There wee steps up to the door.
There was a time when an AN72 seemed to always be parked up but I havent seen that for ages.
There are regular visits from hercules 130’s one foreign owned the others are RAF.
The 747 is lovely. From my house you can here it coming with a unique whine and it looks so big and squat at the same time as is curves away.
Plus falcon 20’s from Flight Refueling and the 757’s? 737’s? of thomson fly.
I’ll go now my ignorance of commercial airliners is beginning to show.

Ok then bournemouth is really one of those airports where there can be lots of suprises for example there is that gourgous 747SP that some arab shiek owns. An An-12 could be for anything could be getting some work done or just dropping off some cargo.

Actually it is BOURNEMOUTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Flights to America and India every day. Sorry I am feeling flippant.
