400th 737 delivered to Southwest Airlines

Southwest takes delivery of their 400th 737. Wow, that’s a lot of Boeing. Makes you wonder how many they’ll have when they’re done growing in 10 years.

737-300/-400/-500: SECOND GENERATION
737-600/-700/-800/-900: NEXT GENERATION

They planned to retire all their 732’s but I don’t know when that was scheduled to be completed. I haven’t see one is about a year so if they do have some left it’s only a hand-full.

What’s a 737SG?

Do they still have 732’s? Planning to be retired? What about the 737SG’s?

I supose with a landmass the size of America, you need a big fleet to offer the frequencies involved in the LCC business plan.
