49 Squad. Web-page, Plus Interesting Books And Manuals…

hi,
whilst looking for something else, I came across this site, not only info on 49 Sq but there are RAF Bomber Command Night Raid reports 3/43-5/43. RAF Bomber Command Loss Cards 1939-1945, Flight Riggers course note-books, Bomber Mechanic’s notebook- own notes on repairs he carried out, and raids his aircraft-Halifax’s carried out, it was transcribed by his daughter after he had died, also shows the original in a “worn condition”, a very interesting read. Also FE’s notes for Lancasters, Pilots notes for Lancaster ll, for Hercules Vl or XVl engines.

The web site is http://www.lancasterbombers.net/ if this has been reported before, sorry.

regards,
jack…

Will have to look deeper into this site. My uncle was lost 12 Feb 1942, 49 Sqn Hapden, Channel Dash! Harry Moyle’s book is brill. John Wards book adds little more! Hey Ho.
