4x light aicraft Lincs

Always keen to find out what I have seen……and yes I know they were perhaps not Historic but a nice sight and sound all the same…..

Yesterday 2-40pm….4 x light piston low wing monoplane aircraft, but sounding of a fairly powerful nature, passed just to the South of my Works location of Gunby, East Lincs.
They were heading just South of East and this would have put them coasting out just N of Wainfleet…..if they had been on this heading for a while they would have perhaps passed close to Coningsby previously ??

They were all I think of the same type…..and in a gaggle rather than formation………just too far away into the Sun to tell properly

Any thoughts anyone …..they were no doubt talking to Waddington at the time….

Clive.

Thank you Moggy…….I suspect you may well be right…..

But ….where might they have been From and To…..??

I checked their Website and it did not show a public display for that day…..I am not registered these days for Notams so couldn’t check there for possible venues …..

Thanks again,
Clive.

I’d place money on it being the Yakolevs Formation Team.
