dark light

5 days and 2.6GB later, here are some of the results (no dial-ups please)

Left saturday the 24th from AMS to LHR. Spend the remainder of the day, just a few hours, at LHR as well as some time at AMS obviously. Sunday to Farnborough, Monday to GTW, Tuesday to Bexleyheath and Erith as well as some more LHR. Wednesday more LHR and Thursday back home, but no spotting since LHR is still very bad airside.

In these days I shot 2.6gb of photos. Each photo is about 2mb large, so the amount of photos probably goes into 4 digits, though I did not take the trouble of counting. In my defence, not all of it is airplanes so I have not lost my sence completely…. yet.

More pics are available upon request. I’ll upload 28 pics now, but if there are requests I may add more.

01) AMS (landside), NW DC10 new livery. All day long without open hatches or ramplice but with a KLM B767 blocking the view. Five minutes before the B767 pushed back the ramp rats invaded.
02) AMS (airside), SQ B777. AMS has great views airside through large and mostly clean windows.
03) LHR, East African B767. I missed this ex Martinair plane at AMS so I am qutie happy to finally snap it.
04) LHR, Etihad A330.
05) LHR, Gulf Air A340.
06) LHR, Crossair (swiss) S340. How come whenever I try another angle I get an odd livery. This one displays the 25th concordino titles, but they can hardly be seen at this angle.
07) Farnborough, Antonov AN72.
08) Farnborough, Antonov AN140
09) LHR, Malev 734. Note the olympics markings on the rear fuselage for Athens ’04.
10) Farnborough, Embraer EMB-190. Lifting of in front of me.

ooh dear, this thread is back to haunt me. Next time I’ll stick to doing what i am good at, posting pics and not bothering captioning them. 🙂

And run the risk of more mistakes? Rather not…. well, perhaps later then some more.

What about those you made that noone picked up on… like 25th Concordino… Concordino being the Saab 2000, not the 340… 😉

Can’t believe I missed you Peter, I was at LHR on the saturday night in the industrial estate under the final approach, and then was in Farnborough all day on the Sunday!

Can’t have been hard to miss me. You never seen me so you would not have known it was me even if you did see me, which is very likely to have happened. I had a blue backpack, jeans and t-shirt waving my F717 around. I probably had my coat tucked under my bagpack. Another thing that may be easy to recognise, people say I look like Harrie Potter (well ain’t that nice .

I was going to say something…more more more hahaha

And run the risk of more mistakes? Rather not…. well, perhaps later then some more.

It’s also a BA A320-100, CFM-Powered, no-winglets, and dual-overwing exits 😛

Okay, Okay, I get it… lots and lots of mistakes. Does jetlag count as an excuse? 😀

29) LHR, Aer Lingus B737.
30) Farnborough, private Global Express. Not part of the display!
31) LGW, Transaero B737.
32) LGW, British Airways B737.
33) LHR, Air China B747.
34) LHR, Olympic A340.
35) LHR, British Airways A319. Note the “backing the bid” markings.
36) LHR, Biman A300. I was hoping for a DC-10 but unfortunately got this.
37) London, a view over the financial district on the north bank of the Thames.
38) London, some football stadium. Don’t know which team(s).

Great pictures! What settings did you use for your Tower Bridge picture. The lighting is perfect.
