60 years of HAF/BBMF…and 60 years photographing it.

I noted that my very first entry in my very first photo album was Biggin Hill ‘Battle of Britain’ day 14 September 1957.

Hurricane LF363 flying together with Spitfire AB910 of the British Aircraft Corporation with Spitfire XIX PS853 in the static park.

Mark 🙂

Look at those young hands making contact with the prop and wing. Something very powerful happens when people, especially the young, are allowed to touch a such a machine.

There should a new book out, charting the history of BBMF pictorially, I believe. It’s aptly named, “The Flight”. Have a look in the Key shop. Father Christmas has been informed 🙂

Cool Peter, my first entry wasn’t until 59, (into the world). 🙂

I bet back then very few ever envisaged that some of the fleet would still be flying, and without people like you recording and collating this information it would have all of been lost, here is to the next 60.
