Hi Chaps
we’ve had a rough repro one kicking around our workshop for a while (bare casting) and we’d like to get it fixed up. See here https://forum.keypublishing.com/filedata/fetch?id=3678886
Now the AP shows that there’s 2 Bowden cables leading to the BA Steering control, but our casting has only one recess for a cable bobbin. Has anyone got any photos of one of these broken down into its constituent parts so that we can get a handle on how it all needs to be fettled?
Any help much appreciated as always
cheers and Merry Christmas
John

Thanks Smirky
I think that’s what I had in mind, as and when I get my hands on an original, it should confirm it 🙂
cheers

John, I think you need to install one nipple in the miiddle of the cable inner before threading the cable through the outers and dealing with the ends – if that makes sense.
You will see that the threaded adjusters for the outers on both parts are slotted, this allows the cable assembly complete with adjuster screws be be prefabricated and easily fitted and replaced.

Thanks for the offer Alan. might have another option but if it doesn’t bear fruit, I’ll keep you in mind
cheers and Happy New Year

Hi John,
I have one in front of me as I type.
Perhaps I could take it to Newark in April? You are welcome to borrow it to study/reproduce, etc.
