Amid all the 787 roll-out hoopla, perhaps the coolest event went unnoticed. On Saturday night, Boeing had all of the 787 airline representatives at an event at the Museum of Flight. At 7:07 PM, an Omega Air Refueling Services 707 landed in front of the crowd (after taking off from Paine Field in Everrett). At 7:17, an AirTran 717 landed. This continued until 8:17 when an Air France 777-300ER landed. In the end, the 717, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, and 777 were lined up nose-to-tail on the taxiway. It is the first time Boeing has had every 7-series airplane in the same place (not counting the 787, which couldn’t make the flight, of course). – Picture provided by The Boeing Company

Boeing 737-3000 – The all new Boeing 737-3000 is a all new jet with a greater range than all the previous 737’s. The turbine jet engines are being replaced by 4 all new Fiat 500 engines (slightly tuned). Because of these new engines the 737 can fly at an altitude of 200+ feet with a cruise speed of around 12 Knots. With its fuel capacity it can carry almost 3 passengers (along with 2 pilots and 5 flight attendants)around the world without refueling! Unfortunately this is only a prototype and will never be sold. Pictures are not available yet.
Haha, that made me laugh!:)
And after initial sales, an improved “3000 GTi” could be brought out, this time with 4 all new Porsche 911 engines …!:D:diablo:

Some more Boeing 7 series with a short narrative 😀 :
Boeing 007 – wasn’t a big success as a airplane
Boeing 7×7 = 49 – 400* – A aircraft currently at the pre production phase, it will carry up to 324 & 1/2 passengers, and will be powered by the recently retrieved planet Jupiter. It’s speed has been rumoured to be in 15,000 mp/h region and over 5,000 orders have been placed for it already, according to a team of engineers working on the mock airframe.
It does have its sceptics however, with rivals Airbus claiming their new prototype, the McAirbus Deluxe mp/h will be powered by a much more efficent salvaged Chernobyl reactor and a highly advanced autopilot system, which will run off a Commordore 64 CPU. Boeing’s CEO shot down these claims as “nonsense” and further added that the staff at Airbus should “stop eating so many frogs”

Just for the record, it appears this happened over 3 years ago…….thus no 787.

Why not – great publicity and history unfolding
I remember seeing some sort of video showing them lining up one after the other.
They also arrived at Boeing Field at a time matching their model number. The 707 arrived at 7:07pm. The 717 at 7:17pm and so on. Obviously the 67 and 77 arrived after 8pm. Master planning.
Why not – great publicity and history unfolding and sure fantastic planning.
Thumbs up to Boeing.

If there was no 720, then it is not correct to say that every 7-series aeroplane (except the 787) was present. Nice picture, all the same.
Not a proper 717 though…
Only half of the required number of engines, for a start. 😉

I just opened that and immediately beamed a massive smile. What a brilliant photo that represents so much in the world of commercial aviation. Love it!
