Hi,
Ive just been looking on the aircraft information pages on airliners.net
and noticed that it shows the 737-400’s total seating capacity to be 188http://www.airliners.net/info/stats.main?id=93 .
Is this right and if so has any airline installed that many seats in one and what would the seat pitch be as i always thought that the maximum was 174 at a minimum seat pitch?
Thanks

The minimum permitted seat pitch in the UK, if I’m not mistaken, is a mere 26″. Perhaps 188 seats would be possible with this in mind.

Your figure of 174 has always been my understanding for the -400. I used to work on charter configured -400’s with 170 seats and have no idea where the extra 4 seats would go far less another 18. I’m sure 188 can’t be right.
