737 on its tail!

Not a common sight for a 737 is it! The incident happened in Malaga yesterday.

Nasty..could be some internal airframe damage only an xray will find

I’m sure they’ll check, but I doubt it.
I think the hinges are designed to give way before any structural damage can occur.

And as I said, it has a tail skid.

Only to the door hinges! There should be a tail skid to minimize any damage there.

But lift a plane up? :confused:

Yes, that seems to be the opinion. The jetway was raised too high or malfunctioned and lifted the plane.

Looks like they are using the Loader for containers to lower it down to the ground. I am usless at speaking spanish but it looks like they tried to remove the jetbridge away from the plane it has got caught somehow:confused:

Looks like an 800. No problem… gently lower back on its nose. Job Done.
The 800 has a tail skid, should have taken then brunt of this. Probably won’t even need replacing?
